Seven killed as minibus falls into ravine in SW China

CHONGQING, July 18 — Seven people were killed Wednesday when a mini-bus fell into a 80-meter-deep ravine in southwest China's Chongqing municipality, local police said.

The accident occurrred at about 5 a.m. on a mountainous road in Shizhu county, the county police authorities said in a statement.

The police located the vehicle wreckage and bodies of all the seven passengers aboard Wednesday afternoon after residents from the neighboring county of Pengshui reported that the vehicle heading to Shizhu county early Wednesday was missing.
