MANILA, July 10 — The Department of Labor and Employment(DOLE) will comply with the Supreme Court (SC) order stopping the implementation of fixed salaries among public utility bus drivers.

"We do not have a copy of the order yet. We will comply once the order is received," Labor Secretary Rosalinda Baldoz said in a text message.

The SC en banc issued a status quo ante order on the fixed salary scheme of PUB drivers and conductors as proposed by DOLE and the Land Transporation Franchising and Regulatory Board.

The ruling was made after bus operators filed a petition to stop the DOLE from setting up fixed wages of PUB drivers and conductors.

The salary scheme supposed to have begun on July 1.

In the SC order, all bus companies which have complied with the new salary scheme are ordered to revert to the commission basis of drivers.

The two agencies are also ordered to submit their comment within 10 days.(PNA)
