MANILA, July 9 – Philippine National Police (PNP) Director General Nicanor Bartolome on Monday said that the ongoing general voters' registration at the Autonomous Region of Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) has remained free from untoward incidents.

The activity, which will last 10 days including today, aims to reduce the number of registered ARMM voters between 1.7 million and 1.5 million.

"Our police regional director at ARMM have been giving me updates and so far, the situation is still peaceful," Bartolome said.

He also said that PNP units, alongside with the Armed Forces of the Philippines and the Commission on Elections, would keep close watch on the area to ensure the completion of 10-day exercise without any untoward incident. (PNA)
