Isolated rainshowers, thunderstorms loom on Good Friday — PAGASA

MANILA, April 6 — Expect a fair weather on Good Friday but isolated rainshowers and thunderstorms loom in the afternoon and evening due to ridge of high pressure area, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said.

Aldczar Aurelio, weather forecaster, said due to high pressure area which brings warm weather is extending across to Northern Luzon.

He added that the country will still experience a sunny and warm Good Friday until weekend.

In its 5:00 a.m. advisory, PAGASA said the whole country will experience partly cloudy to at times cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms mostly in the afternoon and evening.

Light to moderate winds blowing from the east to northeast will prevail over Eastern section of Northern Luzon and coming from the Northeast over the rest of the country.

The coastal waters throughout the archipelago will be slight to moderate.

PAGASA also said Metro Manila may experience temperatures between 23 and 34 degrees Celsius on Good Friday. (PNA)
