Aquino declares April 3 a special non-working holiday in Albay

MANILA, April 2 — President Benigno S. Aquino III has declared April 3, which falls on a Tuesday, as a special non-working day in the province of Albay in celebration of Albay Day.

In Proclamation No. 365 signed by Executive Secretary Paquito N. Ochoa Jr. on April 2, the Chief Executive issued the declaration to give the people of the province the full opportunity to celebrate and participate in the occasion with appropriate ceremonies.

The people of Albay will hold Magayon Festival 2012, coinciding with the province’s founding anniversary. The festival is a month-long festivity that promotes Albay tourism and local livelihood programs. (PNA) RMA/ssc
