20 Davao villages get multicabs worth P5.8M

DAVAO CITY, Feb. 21 – Twenty out of the 182 barangays here received multicab units worth P5.8 million from the city government of Davao.

The multicabs were personally distributed by Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio in a formal ceremony on Monday.

Duterte-Carpio said the distribution of the units aims to help barangays and their constituents. Each multicab costs P292,000.

The mayor said only those barangays that requested for multicabs were given the vehicle. The city shouldered the initial registration of the multicabs while the barangay councils will take care of the gas, maintenance and minor repair expenses.

The recipient barangays were 21-C, Poblacion; 24-C, Poblacion; 34-D, Poblacion; Mudiang, Bunawan District; Sto. Niño, Tugbok District; Tibungco; Biao Escuela, Tugbok District; Lizada, Toril; Biao Joaquin; Datu Salumay, Marilog District; Baliok, Talomo District; Langub, Talomo District; Saloy, Calinan District; Bato, Toril; Pangyan, Calinan District; Ubalde, Agdao District; Mandug, Buhangin; Sirawan, Toril; Ubo-Manobo Tribe in Marilog and Baguio District; and Baracatan, Toril.
