(Metro News) Malabon to fully computerize all services by end of 2012

MANILA, Feb. 16 – Malabon City government is fasttracking efforts to fully computerize all the services offered by city hall before the end of 2012.

It is embarking on a project called Malabon City Digital Infrastructure Project (MCDIP) which aims to provide efficient delivery of services to its constituents.

Mayor Canuto "Tito" Oreta said the project hopes to automate, enhance and upgrade the city government's major revenue-generating systems, socio-economic profile systems, administrative systems and services.

MCDIP is designed to streamline present operations to better serve citizens by way of efficiently implemented development projects.

Oreta said it will likewise institute transparency in administrative affairs and resource management, as well as to improve business transactions within the local government. (PNA)
