(Metro News) Malabon executive budget pegged at P971.29-M for 2012

MANILA, Feb. 11 – To ensure the efficient functioning of the city's various departments and units, the Malabon City Council has allocated P971,291,582 as its executive budget for 2012.

Forty-five percent of the total fund is allocated for the city government’s personal services while five percent is reserved for all statutory and contractual obligations.

Another five percent is earmarked for relief rehabilitation, reconstruction and other works services in connection with the calamities that may occur during the budget year.

An equivalent of five percent is also set aside as the contribution of the city government to the Metro Manila Development Authority this year, while another five percent is allocated to address gender issues and concerns of the city.

Twenty percent of the budget shall be utilized as Malabon’s community development fund, with the balance being placed at the discretion and control of the City Council. (PNA) scs/PFN
