MANILA, Feb. 6 — The death toll in the magnitude-6.9 quake that jolted the Visayas region on Monday morning climbed to seven in the afternoon, even as authorities had already lifted the tsunami alert it earlier raised following the quake.

MANILA, Feb. 6 – The Senate, sitting as impeachment court, on Monday granted ‘with limitation’ the motion of prosecution panel to subpoena the bank accounts of Supreme Court (SC) Chief Justice Renato Corona with two banks.
