PhilHealth slates activities in celebration of its 17th anniversary

ILOILO CITY, Feb. 3 -– The Philippine Health (PhilHealth) Insurance Corporation Regional Office 6 has slated month-long activities in celebration of its 17th anniversary which actually falls on Feb. 14.

PhilHealth Regional Head Dr. Dennis S. Mas said they are celebrating the 17th anniversary that has a theme, “Bawat Pilipino, miyembro. Bawat miyembro, protektado. Kalusugan natin segurado” with several activities to be held throughout Western Visayas.

He said that kicking off their month-long celebration was their holding of Health Care Providers Forum on Feb. 1 where the PhilHealth personnel discussed about case rates and claim updates for healthcare providers awareness.

He said that today they have a media forum here in Iloilo city and at the same time the accredited collecting agents’ forum in the province of Antique.

Among the other activities lined up for the month are the launching of the Electronic PhilHealth Hospital Link, which is an online system transaction, in several hospitals; setting up of mall information desk and hospital information desk; local chief executives forum in Antique province and the stakeholders forum in Capiz province.

Mas added that as they celebrate their anniversary they bear it in mind in “ensuring that their beneficiaries and stakeholders are satisfied and empowered” considering that the PhilHealth Regional Office 6 is the second top region to have the most number of enrollees in the country last year. It is then next to Region 4A. (PNA)
