CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga, Feb. 3 –Governor Lilia G. Pineda has approved the simultaneous repair, renovation and construction of municipal police stations and community police action centers (compac) throughout the province’s 20 towns, including the City of San Fernando.

This developed as Pineda met recently with Philippine National Police (PNP) provincial director Edgardo Tinio and all municipal chiefs of police in the province.

During the recent meeting, the PNP officials updated the governor on the status of their respective municipal police headquarters and the nature and extent of improvement work needed.

The governor ordered the Provincial Engineers Office (PEO) to immediately monitor and inspect the extent of damages of the concerned polices stations and make recommendations for the simultaneous repair of the said facilities.

She assured the law enforcers that the provincial government remains firm in its commitment to provide the needed support to the PNP to ensure the maintenance of peace and order in the province.

Last year, the Pineda administration has provided needed service patrol vehicles such as motorcycles, tricycles including cell phones to the various police stations to further enhance their monitoring and surveillance capability.

The governor said that the provincial government will shoulder all the expenses needed for the various improvement works of police stations and action centers as the chiefs of police submitted their respective budgetary requirements. (PNA) dct/FFC/zst/MDDR/ps
