5.6-magnitude quake hits Flores region, Indonesia — USGS

HONG KONG, Jan. 21 — An earthquake measuring 5.6 on the Richter scale jolted Flores region, Indonesia at 20:32:55 GMT on Friday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 140.60 km, was initially determined to be at 8.4210 degrees south latitude and 119.6905 degrees east longitude. (PNA/Xinhua) rsv /rsm
