WEATHER UPDATE: LPA to bring widespread rains over Central, Southern Luzon and Visayas

MANILA, Nov. 15 — The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the Low Pressure Area (LPA) is expected to bring scattered to widespread rains over Central and Southern Luzon and the Visayas, particularly over the eastern sections which may trigger flashfloods and landslides.

PAGASA in its weather advisory for low pressure area issued at 10:30 a.m., said at 8 a.m. Tuesday, the LPA was estimated based on satellite and surface data at 60 kilometers north of Maasin, Southern Leyte (10.6°N 124.6°E).

PAGASA said the rest of the country will be mostly cloudy with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms.

It said residents in these areas are advised to take all the necessary precautionary measures. (PNA)
