MANILA, Oct. 17 — The Hydro-Meteorological Division (HMD) of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said that Angat Dam has still its three gates opened as its water level continues to recede.

HMD reported that as of 6 a.m. on Monday, Angat Dam is releasing two meters water through its three gates as its water level is now at 211.88 meters almost a meter lower than Sunday's level of 212.76 meters or 1.88 meters above its normal high water level.

The 212-meter level has been previously the target to ease out its maximum capacity of 215 meters as earlier mentioned by HydroMet hydrologist Elmer Caringal in a previous interview.

Meanwhile, Binga and Magat Dams also retain their gates opened as all the other dams continue to follow a downward trend. (PNA) DCT/FFC/magi
