MANILA, Oct. 12 — Vice President Jejomar C. Binay said on Wednesday it is the prerogative of President Benigno S. Aquino III to allow or not a state burial for the late President Ferdinand Marcos.

”We must all accept, respect and support his decision, “ Binay said in a statement in reaction to the President’s pronouncement at a forum in Makati City that he will not allow a state burial for the late President Marcos as the move would allegedly be an injustice to the Martial Law victims.

Binay was earlier ordered by the President to study the issue.

Binay recommended the burial of the former strongman with military honors in his hometown in Ilocos Norte. (PNA)
