PCG relief operations benefit 800 families in Bulacan, Pampanga, N. Ecija

MANILA, Oct. 6 – Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) commandant Vice Admiral Ramon C. Liwag said that the agency's ongoing relief efforts in typhoon-battered Central Luzon has so far benefited 800 families residing in Nueva Ecija, Pampanga, and Bulacan.

Liwag added that the beneficiary families are from Cabiao, Nueva Ecija; San Simon and Candaba, Pampanga; and Hagonoy and Calumpit, Bulacan.

Around 160 sacks of relief goods plus 18 boxes of mineral water were distributed to the flood-affected families. Each sack contained ready-to-eat food, rice, clothing, and sleeping materials.

The PCG chief said that an additional 70 sacks of relief items will be distributed to the families later this week. (PNA) DCT/scs/PFN
