Basketball: 7 schools see action in 2lst PRISAA-UCAAP cage tourney

DAGUPAN CITY, July 20 — Seven schools led by defending champion University of Luzon will dispute the crown in the 2lst season of the Private Schools Athletic Association-Universities Colleges Athletic Association of the Philippines Basketball Collegiate Cup (PRISAA-UCAAP) which will reel off July 27 at the Dagupan People’s Astrodome.

Governor Amado Espino Jr., after who the tournament has been named, will be the guest of honor and speaker in the opening program, to be marked by a parade of athletes and their respective muses.

Phil Celi, secretary-general of PRISAA-UCAAP, said those participating in the tournament are last year’s runners-up Lyceum-Northwestern University, University of Pangasinan, Colegio de Dagupan, Pangasinan Merchant Marine Academy, Pangasinan Institute of Maritime Studies and Technology and Asian Institute of e-Commerce.

Two schools begged off from participation in this year's tournament. These are AMA College and Pangasinan State University.(PNA) LAP/LOR/Lvm/lvmicua/rma
