Labor Day fair in Zamboanga to offer 4,081 jobs

MANILA, April 13 — Some 4,081 job vacancies await graduates and job seekers at the job and livelihood fair in Zamboanga City on Labor Day.

Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Secretary Rosalinda Dimapilis-Baldoz,citing a report of DOLE’s Region 9 (Zamboanga Peninsula) regional director Ponciano Ligutom, said that 26 local employers based in the region, along with three licensed overseas recruitment agencies, are participating in the fair.

A livelihood fair with the theme, "Matuwid na Daan Tungo sa Kaunlaran Para sa Lahat"will also be conducted under the supervision of the regional office and the Bureau of Local Employment (BLE).

The Labor Day job fair will be held at the Western Mindanao State University (WMSU) Gymnasium in Zamboanga.

Among the participating companies include ABS-CBN Zamboanga, YL Fishing Corp., Universidad de Zamboanga, Brent Hospital and Colleges , WMPC, Union Galvastell Corp., M & S Co., Semirara Mining Corp., STI, Southern Mindanao Enterprises and Wellmar Marketing, Philippine Spring Water Resources, Power Systems, Smart, Sophia Jewellery, PC 911, Mega Fishing, Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas, Trez Alaz Corp., ZC Union Marketing, Ciudad Medical Zamboanga, ORO Business Group, ZAEC Community Medical Center, Chinito’s Asian Kitchen, UP Academy, Cyber City Teleservice, Insular Life Insurance Co., and Verde International Manpower Recruitment Services, Pacific Mediterrenian Manpower Agency and MMML Recruitment Services.
