BAGUIO CITY, Feb. 2 — The National Union of Journalists of the Philippines (NUJP) chapter here Wednesday condemned the recent killing of a broadcaster based in Bangued, Abra.

Art Alladiw, NUJP official here, said they learned that disc jockey Celino Algao Gallardo of an FM station in that town was found to have been stabbed to death.

"We hope that justice shall be given to the death of our colleague in the media. We condemn the killing. It is our hope that our authorities will soon unmask the identity of those responsible for his death," he said.

To recall, Gallardo was once a seminarian here and also a teacher at the Divine World College of Abra. (PNA)
