Magnitude 3.7 earthquake rocks Butuan City

BUTUAN CITY, Jan. 27 — A magnitude-3.7 earthquake hit Butuan City, Agusan del Norte Wednesday night but there was no immediate report of damage to property or casualties.

The quake, which was tectonic in origin, occurred at 10:10 p.m., according to a bulletin released by the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) here.

Its epicenter was traced about 41 kilometers northeast of Butuan City. (PNA)
