ANKARA, Jan. 14 — The political crisis in Lebanon was met with sadness by Turkey, and preserving stability is highly important for the tranquility and welfare of the people of Lebanon, Turkish Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Thursday.

Regional countries and the international community need a "constructive attitude" to help Lebanon not evolve in political uncertainty, the statement added.

The ministry also call on all sides in Lebanon to "act with a sense of responsibility and do away with differences in opinion through dialogue and compromise."

Earlier reports said that Lebanese Prime Minister Saad Hariri would arrive in Turkey late Thursday night and meet with Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Friday morning. (PNA/Xinhua)
