(Metro News) Caloocan cops gun down 2 suspected carnappers

MANILA, Jan. 4 – Caloocan police officers shot dead two suspected carnappers during an encounter in Barangay 168, Deparo Monday night.

Police said the fatalities were identified as brothers Willie and Emong Ramos. The shootout transpired around 10 p.m.

Initial investigations revealed that the suspects were cruising on board two motorcycles, with plate numbers EZ-3904 and VGY-167, when cornered by police officers.

Instead of surrendering, the two allegedly opened fire on the lawmnen, forcing the latter group to return fire, hitting the Ramos brothers' fatally.

Both men died before reaching the nearest hospital.

Reports added that the slain suspects were notorious in the area for their alleged participation in several carnapping and robbery sprees. (PNA)
