DAVAO CITY, Dec. 2 — A total of 314 recruits of the Philippine National Police (PNP) Davao started their training on Wednesday after the oath taking ceremony initiated by regional police director Chief Supt. Pedro Tango at Camp Catitipan, Buhangin, this city.

Tango said the recruits, the second batch of trainees for this year’s recruitment, will face rigid training for almost one year.

In his inspirational message, Tango challenged each police trainee to be ready in facing the difficulties ahead.

“There will be several challenges that you will face, perils that you will meet, problems that you will encounter and frustrations that will fall on you. But you will overcome these if you seriously put your heart into the training and give importance to building your character,” he said.

The graduates will receive a monthly salary and other benefits of police personnel.

The police recruits will be trained at the PNP Regional Training Center in Mintal for six months before going through a Field Training Program then back to Camp Catitipan for the scouting training, Tango added. (PNA)
