ILOILO CITY, Nov. 19 - The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) District Office 74 here said that their Premyo Sa Resibo (PSR) program has been a success since its implementation.
BIR Revenue District Office 74 Iloilo chief on promotions division Maria Luchi Ong said that the PSR has already awarded more than P155 million worth of prizes to winners all over the country. She said that some of these winners are from Western Visayas.
Likewise, they have made some 108 raffle draws all over the country, aside from instant prizes such as free cellphone loads that they have been giving everyday.
She also boasts of the significant improvement collection of taxes coming from the PSR program. They have already collected more than P490 million in unpaid taxes through the PSR, as well as P247 million unpaid business taxes from companies caught to have no official receipts.
Meanwhile, BIR Revenue District Office 74 District Officer Nelia Demalata said that the PSR has been a great program since it added to their collection.
It also allowed them to run after business companies, and individuals who have been evading their tax dues and responsibilities.
The BIR still encourages the public to join the PSR and win more prizes such as cellphones, free loads, a brand new car, and up to P1 million cash, tax-free.
To join the PSR the public are requested to submit official receipts from any transactions, and text PSR_TIN_OR number_amount and send to 977 for single receipt, or 9777 for multiple entries.
Weekly raffle draws are held every Monday, while monthly raffles are held every last Monday of the month. The grand raffle for this year will be on December 4. (PNA)
