Search for 10 outstanding soldiers 2011 now underway

MANILA, Oct. 29 — The search for the Ten Outstanding Philippine Soldiers (TOPS) for 2011 is underway, the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) said.

The annual activity is jointly sponsored by the Rotary Club of Makati Metro–Metrobank Foundation Inc.

According to its website, the AFP said that each awardee will receive a cash prize of Php 300,000 and a trophy courtesy of the Metrobank Foundation. The non-winning finalists, aside from a certificate, shall receive the amount of Php 20,000 as financial incentive.

Deadline for submission of nomination form and documents is on Nov. 19, 2010.
