MANILA, Oct. 14 — The House of Representatives is speeding up the approval of House Concurrent Resolution no. 7, which would concur Proclamation no. 50 issued by President Benigno S. Aquino III that grants amnesty to active and former personnel of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and their supporters who may have committed acts or omissions punishable under the Revised Penal Code, the Articles of War or other special laws committed in connection with the Oakwood mutiny in 2002, the the Marines standoff in 2006, and the Manila Peninsula siege in 2007.
