QC cops nab Abu Sayyaf member for illegal drugs

MANILA, Sept. 24 – Quezon City Police District (QCPD) anti-drugs operatives have arrested a suspected drug pusher who was later identified as member of the notorious Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG), QCPD officials said Friday.

In a report to Quezon City Police District (QCPD) Director Police Chief Supt. Benjardi Mantele, DAID-SOTG chief Police Sr. Insp. Roberto Razon identified the suspect as Alton Ladjaalam, 33.

The suspect is a native of Jolo, Sulu and resident of no. 123 Lanao St., Salaam Mosque Compound, Barangay Culiat, Tandang Sora, Quezon City.

Ladjaalam was arrested in a buy-bust operation conducted at about 5:30 a.m by DAID-SOTG operatives, led by SPO1 Jeffrey Flores under the supervision of Razon.

The suspect was nabbed after he yielded a small sachet of shabu worth P6,000 to a policeman who acted as buyer.

Ladjaalam was taken to Camp Karingal in Quezon City for further investigation after the QCPD received information from the military that the suspect is an Abu Sayyaf member. (PNA) RMA/JCA
