MANILA, July 16 — In view of allegation of "error" in weather forecasting on typhoon "Basyang" that killed more than 30 persons and more than 40 others missing, lawmakers on Friday called on officials of the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) to prepare an inventory report of their existing weather forecast equipment and a rundown of their modernization needs in preparation for the 2011 budget hearings which are expected to tackle the weather bureau's inaccurate weather forecasts.
