MANILA, June 30 – The Quezon City government have fielded as early 6 a.m. its 294 traffic enforcers to ensure the orderly movement of vehicles in all QC routes leading to the Quezon Memorial Circle (QMC), the center of President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III’s inaugural celebration on Wednesday night.

The city’s traffic personnel complemented the 125 enforcers from the Philippine National Police (PNP) and the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) who have been mobilized to provide traffic security and control surrounding the vicinity of the Quezon Memorial Circle.

Traffic authorities said there is already a heavy traffic flow during the celebration since no road closure plan is to be implemented.

The city’s Department of Public Order and Safety, in close coordination with the QC District Traffic Enforcement Unit, had advised motorists to look for alternative routes to avoid any inconveniences.

Already, parking areas and slots have already been designated using a color-coded identification scheme for easy reference.

Designated parking area for very important persons (VIPs) are the North and East Avenue gates of the QMC while the Philcoa gate and the QC Hall compound will be for public parking.

Other possible parking areas have been reserved along Philcoa, Commonwealth Avenue, East Avenue, Kalayaan Avenue and QC Hall compound.

The QMC-City Hall and the QMC-Philcoa underpasses are opened for public entrance. (PNA) FFC/JCA
