MANILA, June 28 – The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) on Monday said the Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) is the dominant weather system to affect most parts of the country.

This weather system will move northward due to the expected approach of a Low Pressure Area (LPA) to the Visayas, Monday night, bringing scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms over southern Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao becoming widespread over the eastern sections until Tuesday.

On June 30 when President-elect Benigno Aquino III will take his oath as the country's 15th Chief Executive, Luzon and Visayas will experience scattered rainshowers concentrated over the western sections, while Mindanao will have improved weather by Wednesday afternoon. (PNA) LAP
