MANILA, June 28 –The Catholic Church will be presenting their twelve point agenda to President-elect Benigno Noynoy Aquino III on Wednesday during a Mass at the Manila Cathedral in Intramuros, Manila.

According to Fr. Anton Pascual of Caritas Manila said their demands basically consist of the Church’s different advocacies based on Catholic teachings.

The 7:30 a.m. mass will be presided by Manila Archbishop Gaudencio Cardinal Rosales together with other prelates and priests.

He noted that the intention of holding a Mass, is to pray for the success of the new administration.

“This is for the success of P-NOY administration,” he said, in an interview over church-run Radio Veritas 846.

Pascual then assured the new President of the Church’s critical collaboration.

“The Church will continue her critical collaboration with the state for the benefit of the country and the poor,” he said.

With this, the Caritas Manila official hopes that the new leaders and the other winning candidates will be able to attend the event.

“Together we will pray for the success and unity between the new administration, his official and the people to attain the common good,” he said. (PNA) LOR/FGP/utb
