NBI seizes P3.5M worth of computers in Quezon City for copyright infringement

MANILA, June 14 –National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) agents seized some P3.5 million worth of computer sets and installers in a raid on a establishment in Quezon City.

The NBI team belonging to Intellectual Property Rights Division (IPRD) swooped down on Pan-Asia Manpower and General Services at 100 Kapiligan St., Barangay Dona Imelda, Quezon City following complaints of copyright infringement filed by Microsoft Corp., Adobe System Inc. and Autodesk Inc.

The raiding team was equipped with search warrant issued by Judge Amor A. Reyes of the Manila Regional Trial Court (RTC) Branch 21.

The operation resulted in the confiscation of 22 complete sets of computer, 28 Microsoft installers and four AutoCad installers worth P3.55 million. (PNA) RMA/JES
