MANILA, June 10 — Supreme Court (SC) Chief Justice Renato Corona on Thursday congratulated both President-elect Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III and Vice President-elect Jejomar Binay as the 15th President and Vice President, respectively of the Republic of the Philippines.

In his one-page congratulatory message, Corona congratulated Aquino in his proclamation as the duly-elected President of the Philippines on behalf of the entire Judiciary.

"The Judiciary shares your desire for integrity and transparency in government and prays that the Almighty will strengthen your resolve to implement the necessary reforms in government," Corona said.

"Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam. May the Almighty guide and enlighten you as you assume the leadership of our nation," Corona added.

In another one-page message, Corona congratulated Binay in his proclamation as the duly-elected Vice President of the Republic.

"Your dedication to public service and capability as a leader have been tried and tested many times as a local government executive. I am certain they will spur you to do even more as Vice-President of the country," Corona said.

"Rest assured that the Judiciary is behind you 100% in your efforts to improve the lot of our countrymen," Corona added. (PNA)
