MANILA, June 6 -— Twenty Filipinos left recently for postgraduate study grants in various Japanese universities in fields ranging from public administration to information and communications technology, sent-off with a prayer from Japanese ambassador Makoto Katsura that having excelled in their studies, they return and lead Philippine development and be “bridge(s) in the strengthening of the friendly and cooperative ties between Japan and the Philippines.”
