Bulacan cops help teachers in cleaning schools

MALOLOS CITY, Bulacan, May 31 — Armed with brooms and mops, police personnel from the Bulacan Police Provincial Office (BPOO) trooped to various public schools here and helped teachers clean classrooms in preparation for the opening of classes.

Bulacan acting police director Senior Supt. Fernando Villanueva personally led the cleaning operations dubbed as “Tropang Eskwela” at the Barasoain Elementary School here.

Some 100 police personnel from the BPPO and the Provincial Public Safety Management Company under Supt. Manuel M. Lukban Jr., took part in the clean-up operations.

Villanueva said the cleaning operations aim to provide assistance to public elementary school teachers in cleaning and the maintenance of their classrooms and school facilities and surroundings in preparation for the opening of classes on June 15.

He also issued a directive to all chiefs of police to replicate the activity in their respective areas of responsibility.

He said that police personnel will continue to help public school teachers to ensure that the students will have a safe and clean environment this coming school year. (PNA)
