MANILA, May 21 – Losing Quezon City mayoral candidate Mike Defensor on Friday said he filed a petition before the Commission on Elections (Comelec) questioning the results of the May 2010 local elections, where his rival QC Vice Mayor Herbert Bautista won by 50,563 votes for mayor.

MANILA, May 21 – The head of the government Ad Hoc Joint Action Group (AHJAG) described on Friday as a "herculean job" in its hand, together with the Moro Islamic Liberation (MILF), the task of locating and ensuring the safe disposal of landmines and unexploded ordnance (UXO) scattered in various areas in Central Mindanao at the height of the fighting in the region.
