Captive monkeys are temporarily housed for propagation at the wildlife park inside the Bacon-Manito Geothermal Power Plant (BACMAN) reservation in Albay. Upon reproduction, the animals will be freed inside the reforested area of the geothermal field. The Bacon-Manito (BACMAN) Geothermal Power Plant in Albay is capable of providing electricity to an area eight times the size of Albay province, according to its Public Information Officer Gerry B. Buna. The BACMAN GPP is holder of seven International Standard Organization (ISO) certificates for quality management systems and safety as well as environmental care and compliance to internationally recognized standards. The geothermal field also houses a newly-opened wildlife park with its butterfly garden and other animals.
