MANILA, April 19 – Quezon City second district Rep. Mary Ann Susano, one of the leading candidates for mayor of the city in the coming elections, confirmed on Monday she has transferred to former President Joseph Estrada’s Pwersa ng Masang Pilipino (PMP).

Susano, who lives in Novaliches, is running against Liberal Party mayoralty bet Vice Mayor Herbert Bautista, former presidential chief of staff Mike Defensor, and former Quezon City Mayor Ismael Mathay Jr., among others.

Susano claimed the Quezon City folks' "love for Estrada" prompted her to shift her allegiance to the PMP standard-bearer.

“The people of Quezon City love Erap," she said, adding that she would help deliver almost 600,000 votes for Estrada. Susano was formerly the chairman of the ruling Lakas-Kampi-CMD coalition in vote-rich Quezon City. (PNA)
