MANILA, April 10 The Army and Navy Task Force 525 of Chinas Peoples Liberation Army (PLA) escort mission in the Gulf of Aden is to make a five-day port of call in Manila next week, it was announced by the Chinese embassy here.

MANILA, April 10 — President Gloria Macapagal- Arroyo will join 43 other world leaders invited by U.S. President Barack Obama in a discussion of the threat of the illegal diversion of nuclear materials such as terrorism, and related nuclear issues at the Nuclear Security Summit (NSS) in Washington, D.C. on April 12 and 13.

MANILA, April 10 –Admiral Wilfredo Tamayo, Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) commandant, directed on Saturday Royal Jessan Petromin Resources Inc. (RJPRI), a salvaging firm, to finish its retrieval operation of the 23,000 gross ton M/V Princess of the Stars (POTS), which sank off Sibuyan Island, Romblon in 2008, before the start of the stormy season.
