MANILA, March 8 — A female cadaver was recovered sealed inside a traveling bag dumped in a grassy place in Bacoor, Cavite on Monday, a police official said.

Chief Insp. Milagros Sanchez, public information office chief of Cavite Provincial Police Office (PPO), said Bacoor police were dispatched in Daang Hari in Barangay Molino 4 at around 11:30 a.m. after receiving information from concerned citizens about the foul odor emanating from a traveling bag.

Responding police authorities, including elements from the Cavite PPO Crime Laboratory, immediately recovered the traveling bag from the grassy portion of Barangay Molino 4.

”Investigators found out that the traveling bag contained a bloated body of a female cadaver in a state of decomposition wrapped in a plastic bag,” said Sanchez.

Sanchez described the recovered cadaver as more or less 32 years old, long hair, slim and wearing stretchable jeans and black sweat shirt.

”The cadaver also bore fractured skull and frontal teeth. The cadaver is believed to be dumped in the area to misled investigators,” said Sanchez.

Sanchez said investigation was still ongoing to establish the identity of the cadaver and the perpetrators of the gruesome crime. (PNA) RMA/MM
