MANILA, Feb. 18 – Twenty more violators of the Commission on Elections (Comelec) imposed total gun ban were arrested by combined police and military authorities during checkpoint operations in various parts of the country on Wednesday.

MANILA, Feb. 18 – The Department of Agriculture (DA) has earmarked an initial P882.18 million to fast track the implementation of mitigation measures for farmers and fisherfolk in 14 provinces in Luzon and the Visayas, where the El Niño phenomenon that is expected to last until July has already damaged over 200,000 metric tons (MT) of palay, corn and other crops with an aggregate value of P2.84 billion.
