MANILA, Feb. 17 – The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) on Wednesday announced the arrest of three Guinean nationals and a Filipino woman who are suspected to be drug mules of an international drug syndicate operating in Southeast Asian Region and South America.

MANILA, Feb. 17 — The remains of Filipina supermarket worker Mary Grace Fabian, who was among the thousands of casualties of the Haiti earthquake last January 12, are due to arrive in the Philippines Friday morning (Manila time), the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said on Wednesday. The remains were cleared for repatriation to Manila on Tuesday from Haiti’s neighbor of Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic, DFA added, quoting the Philippine Vice-Consul to Cuba Jason Anasarias.

MANILA, Feb. 17 — At the close on Tuesday of claims applications for one-time benefits for living World War II veterans, 12,846 were approved and paid a total of more than P7.2 billion by the United States Department of Veterans Affairs (USDVA) in Manila, according to the U.S. embassy.
