Three robbers nabbed in Pasay City checkpoint

MANILA, Feb. 7 — Police collared Sunday three suspected robbers aboard a stolen motorcycle during a checkpoint operation in Pasay City.
Inspector Pedro Lacanlale, Jr. of the Police Community Precinct (PCP) 2, who was manning a checkpoint along Taft Avenue near Gil Puyat Avenue, identified the suspects as Arnel Gatus, 39, of 4714 Cojuangco St. , Makati city, Raymond Sergio, 20, of 162 Dolores St.., Pasay and Paul Vincent Gatdula, 18, of 164 Dolores St.
Recovered from the suspects were three knives, a black lady bag containing two necklaces, lady dress and ID of one Analyn Silva of Dance Sports Phils.
Police also found that the motorcycle the suspects were riding in was registered the name of Jersey Castillo, 52, of 2447 Lakandula St. , Pasay , who earlier reported the loss of the said motorcycle.
PO2 Fernildo de Castro, case officer, said the ID of the lady found by the police could be a holdup victim.
The Pasay City police are poised to file the charges against the trio while the checkpoint in strategic areas will be intensified to make sure that violators of Omnibus Election Code, City Traffic Code and other crime will be apprehended. (PNA) RMA/CLTC
