PGMA to inaugurate new 8-classroom building in Lubao

MANILA, Jan. 22 — President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo will inaugurate on Saturday morning the newly rehabilitated eight-classroom Gabaldon Building at the Lubao (East) Central School in Barangay San Nicolas, Lubao, Pampanga.

The P4.33-million rehabilitation was funded under the Department of Education’s 2009 School Building Program.

Repair works started on Sept. 7 and was completed Dec. 12 last year. The contract was for 120 calendar days but was completed in 97 days.

The rehabilitated building consists of nine original classrooms and eight additional classrooms. A science laboratory room is included.

Project beneficiaries are 349 primary pupils, consisting of two classes in Grade 1, one class in Grade 2, four classes in Grade 3, and one class in Grade 4.

The President, Lubao Mayor Dennis Pineda, and Rep. Juan Miguel Arroyo will lead the ribbon cutting and marker unveiling ceremonies to formally open the new building. (PNA)
