  5. kirby on January 13th, 2010 11:20 am

    Who made that idea ?
    because It’s barely stupidity !
    didn’t you think of the lower-class people who even cannot afford to sustain their basic needs?
    Those who made that idea only think of yourselves and not the majority of people in the phil.
    you better use your IQ rather than EQ in making such decisions.
    Another thing is that you don’t respect the sacredness of marriage … In marriage you must think a million times before saying “I Do”

    Ms. Margie O. Tajon
    I am Jun Dominise, City chairman/Coordinator of Mabuting Pilipino Movement for Noynoy-Mar in Butuan City. I am personally reacting to your “marriage expiration” issue aired sometime ago. Please understand that our non-conventional organization has nothing to do with this opinion of mine.
    When I worked in the House of Representatives way back in 1987-94, I had this conceptualized:
    AN ACT CONVERTING THE MARRIAGE CONTRACT FROM A SPECIAL CONTRACT INTO AN ORDINARY CONTRACT AND PROVIDING THERETO A 5 YEAR AND 10 YEAR EXPIRATIONS OF A MARRIAGE CONTRACT, RENEWABLE UPON THE OPTION OF BOTH PARTIES AND STIPULATING CONDITIONS THERETO. . . .
    Whereas, it is of undeniable record that many married couples in our country are living unharmoniously under one roof thereby encouraging abandonment, neglect ,rejection battering of either spouse ,immorality and other causes that break the sanctity of a marriage and threatens the moral fiber of a family that is considered a basic social unit;
    Whereas the provisions of the law on annulment of marriage are difficult, expensive and its court litigation tediously long and tiring.
    Whereas, to give a break to lies, pretensions and cheating and finally give a solution to these “underground” affairs in the Filipino family.
    Be it enacted in the House of Representative and in the SENATE…..
    AN ACT CONVERTING THE MARRIAGE CONTRACT FROM A SPECIAL CONTRACT INTO AN ORDINARY CONTRACT AND PROVIDING THERETO A 5 YEAR AND 10 YEAR EXPIRATIONS OF A MARRIAGE CONTRACT, RENEWABLE UPON THE OPTION OF BOTH PARTIES AND STIPULATING CONDITIONS THERETO. . . .
    Provisions:
    1. The marriage contract expires five (5) years from the date of marriage and both parties may legally renew their vow of marriage provided that they do not have more than two (2) legal and biological children at the time of expiration of the contract otherwise they shall be disqualified to renew the contract;
    2. That the renewed contract shall again be eligible for another ten (10) years but the contracting parties shall bear no more than five (5) legal and biological children from the time they would have it renewed provided further that if the couple renews their contract of marriage on the 15th year they shall no longer be qualified to renew such marriage and the contact is deemed perpetual until death do they part…..etc
    My personal expression of support to your advocacies.

    Sincerely
    Jun Dominise
