Celebrities share their New Year’s Resolution, feng shui experts bare lucky colors for 2010

MANILA, Jan. 1 -– Filipino showbiz celebrities on Friday shared their New Year’s Resolution for 2010.

ABS-CBN president Charo Santos-Concio said their resolutions range from living a healthy lifestyle to strengthening the spiritual aspect of their lives.

Santos told the Philippines News Agency (PNA) the celebrities who shared their New Year’s Resolution are mostly talents of ABS-CBN. They are Amy Perez, Kitkat, Maegan Young, Erich Gonzales, Derek Ramsay, Geoff Eigenmann, Angelica Panganiban, Lui Villaruz, Empress Schuck, Jessy Mendiola and Judy Ann Santos.

“I will have a very long patience for all things,” said Perez, who has a radio program over radio station DZMM.

Kitkat said she will sleep and eat on time. “I slept before 12 midnight on New Year’s Eve,” she said.

"I will avoid being late. Avoid being late to school. I'm usually late for school, but not at work,” Young said.

"My New Year's resolution is to eat on time. Because I forget the scripts I memorize. So I have to eat on time,” Gonzales said.

"I have to seek medical help for my legs. I have to stop buying cars," Ramsay said.

"I have to watch my diet or maintain it. I have to sleep early, less going out, healthy living,” Eigenmann said.

“I have to be patient. I have to keep my cool," Panganiban said.

"I have to strengthen my relationship with God. I will share with what I have learned to other people," Villaruz said.

"I will pray a lot more," Schuck said.

"I have to eat a lot especially during tapings," Mendiola said.

"I will try not to be annoying," Judy Ann Santos quipped.

Meanwhile, a feng shui consultant said lucky colors for 2010 are blue and light yellow. Blue symbolizes water while light yellow symbolizes peace.

“The year 2010 chart said we need more water for nourishment and strengthen productivity for money purposes,” said Johnson Chua, a feng shui adviser.

He said there are lucky colors for the Chinese animal zodiac signs. Blue is the lucky color for those born on the year of the rat, rabbit, dragon, snake and rooster.

White or light yellow, meantime, is said to bring luck to those born on the year of the ox, tiger, sheep and monkey.

Violet is the lucky color for those born on the year of the dog and pig while red and violet are the colors for those born on the year of the horse.

Figurines of metal or golden tigers are displayed in Binondo, Manila, such as the tiger with gourd (for good health) and tiger with Chinese cabbage and golden coins (for more money to come in).

But besides the lucky charms and lucky colors, feng shui experts also believe that people should look at the signs of the times wherein there have already been precursors to election-related violence. (PNA)
