Albania reports first A H1N1 flu death

TIRANA, Dec. 4 — Albanian health authorities reported the country's first A H1N1 flu death on Thursday.

The country's Heath Ministry said the victim was a 57-year-old man from Durres district, a seaside town about 35 kilometers west of the capital Tirana.

It was reported that the man died Wednesday of complications. Ha had an underlying disease of benign prostate tumor and suffered from an aggravated form of myocardial infection.

Albania has now confirmed 210 cases of A H1N1 flu. The first case was registered on July 20 in the small western Balkan country. (PNA/Xinhua)
