PNA rejects Netanyahu's offer to resume peace talks

RAMALLAH, Nov. 26 — Nabil Abu Rdeineh, spokesman of the Palestinian presidency, announced on Wednesday that the Palestinian National Authority (PNA) rejected getting back to peace talks without a complete cessation of settlement activities in the West Bank and Jerusalem.
Abu Rdeineh made the statement to the state-run Wafa news agency shortly after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced Wednesday evening a 10-month freeze on construction in Jewish settlements in the West Bank.
Netanyahu said that he hoped the decision would help launch meaningful negotiations to reach a historic peace agreement that would finally end the conflict between Israel and the Palestinians, yet adding that the construction freeze would not be implemented in East Jerusalem. (PNA/Xinhua)
