Muslim community assures support to ensure peace and order in Boracay

ILOILO CITY, Nov. 9 – The Muslim community in Boracay has assured its support to the Philippine National Police (PNP) in ensuring peace and order in the country’s world-renowned resort island.

The assurance came from Faizal Arumac, Boracay Muslim Association president during the Imam/Muslim Leader held recently at the Aklan Police Provincial Office (APPO), Camp Pastor Martelino in Kalibo, Aklan.

The summit was initiated by the APPO under S/Supt. Epifanio A. Bragais Jr. with the main purpose of promoting a “healthy working relationship with the Muslim community and to address the issues and concern related in the maintenance of peace and order situation in province of Aklan.”

The activity was participated 25 Muslim/Imam leaders, Chiefs of Police of Kalibo and Boracay and Salaam Police assigned in Salaam desks.

The summit ended with a discussion on how to further promote and ensure peace and order in the province. (PNA)
