The Light Rail Transit Authority(LRTA)’s ‘Bike On, Bike Off’ project was formally launched on November 8 by Department of Environment and Natural Resources Secretary Lito Atienza(extreme left photo), Senator Pia Cayetano and LRTA Administrator Melquiadas Robles. The first of its kind in Philippine urban rail history, it offers an alternative mode of moving around the city. The last coach of every train is utilized as a “green zone” to accomodate the Folding bike users(FBU’s) and their foldable bikes.(PNA photos by Boy Antonio)
